Vietnam - the most instagrammable Spots
Updated: Dec 12, 2019
Looking for the perfect Instagram shot? This guide will help you to find the best photo spots in Vietnam. Make sure to tag us in your pictures - we would love to see them!
Ninh Binh, Mua Caves
This place is just magical! Make sure to hike up the mountains before sunrise, to get the magical views we had on the pictures. The 500 steps are super exhausting, but absolutely worth it.
There are different picture spots, as you can see on ours, so you will definitely get loads of insta worthy shots!
On this scenic motorbike tour you will find a picture perfect spot around every corner, so make sure your camera (or in our case: iPhone) has enough battery to capture every amazing view!
Hanoi Train Street
Hidden in the narrow streets of Hanoi you will find the Train Street right in the middle of houses, little coffee shops and the local peoples everyday life. A high speed train runs multiple times a day (see timetable in the picture) through this street. It's a must see when in Hanoi!
St. Joseph's Cathedral Hanoi
This is just a little stop to take a quick picture in front of this picturesque church! It totally reminded us of the Notre Dame in Paris.
If you're hungry, eat at the little chicken soup stall on the opposite site of the street, it's cheap and really delicious.
If you're looking for more street food inspiration, make sure to check out our blog post about the best streetfood in Hanoi!
Hanoi Note Coffee
You can find this cute little coffee shop in the city center next to the Hoan Kiem Lake.
We've never seen a room filled with so much love! You get little post-its and can post them everywhere you want (the walls, tables, lamps,...) - such a cool idea!
Cat Ba Island View Point
When visiting Cat Ba you will have the most amazing view over Lan Ha Bay - for free!
How? Check out our Blogpost on how to find this amazing view point!
Abandoned Waterpark, Huế
Lost places are always cool to explore! The waterpark in Hue is really kind of creepy, but absolutely worth a visit. You will have to pay an entrance fee of 20.000 Dong, to make sure the guard will let you in.
Good news: almost everything in Hoi An is photogenic! The lanterns, the little alleys with the blooming trees everywhere, the yellow walls, the lake ... You can find plenty of picturesque spots.
If you want to get a shot in front of the Lantern Stalls, some of the ladies will charge you a 1$ fee. Just go to another store and ask friendly, if you can take a picture. You don't have to pay for that shot.
Being honest, we would say Da Lat is a city we wouldn't visit a second time. But this may be because of the cold and rainy weather we had while our visit. But driving from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh you have to make a stop anyway, so it's a nice little stopover, with a few insta worthy spots.
Stairway to heaven
There are two spots with a "stairway to heaven".
The first stop is sunny farm, the other one you will find when you drive about 1 minute further after the sunny farm on the left hand side.
Sunny farm (click here for the exact Location) won't charge you, but you have to drink something, which costs at least 40.000 Dong. The second stop charges 20.000 Dong per person
Hoa Son Dien Trang Flower Garden
Honestly we didn't like this place. It is a small park full of people, trying to get the best shot on one of the instagram installations. Nothing else to do, besides this - but the pictures are beautiful ;) So you have to decide if it's worth it for you or not.
There is also an entrance fee of 30.000 Dong per person.
Ho Chi Minh, Pink Church
This church is a barbie dream come true! Next to a crowded street you will find this pink church - and yes - it really is that pink! No photoshop needed for that :)
Tina absolutely loved it.
